I have a 1994 Mazda B 3000 2 wd, the truck was running fine, took the RPMs up to 2500 and the truck died, truck will turn over but wont fire. I changed the fuel filter, and took it to a mechanic and he put a tester on it and said it needed a new computer so I put a new computer in it it still wont fire. Do you know what this might be.

    Thanks

Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't. I can smell gas somtimes, But I think it might be the ignition coil(s). I have replaced the selenoid, but that still does not cure the problem.

Will turn over, but unless you have pedal to the floor it won't fire. Once it does it smells like gas and smokes for a few seconds. Also if you get it started, then turn it off quickly, you have to wait a few minutes before it will start again.

Did you check for spark? remove one of the spark plug wires and stick a screw driver in the tip of the wire, and set it near osme metal, have some one turn the engine, and watch for spark, if it is blue your spark is fine if it is yellow you need to replace the plugs and wires, if there is no spark the ignition coil pack is bad....

When starting the truck it turns over but won't start unless I turn it on and off several times

if the vehicle cranks and will not start, but when you cycle the keyon and off with a few second interval. by doing this you are priming the fuel line, if it starts after priming the system then i would look into the fuel system. would need to know exact details to give a more pin pointed answer

When i turn the key to start the truck upit turns to run but wont go to start, it turns all the way but doesnt start

Not much to go on---but I'll try here.

Ok first thing check to see if truck is in park---sometimes it may be in park but the park switch will not start truck unless the switch is depressed.

try putting truck in neutral with foot on pedal to start truck-----if starts the problem is with the switch.

If not, then you have a ignition switch problem---there is an ignition switch box under the dash on topside of steering column with has adjustment screws mounted to column.

loosen screws and slide ignition box toward the steering wheel to achieve the start position of the ignition switch box to start truck.

Will the fuel pump, not let the truck from turning over and starting.

the fuel when is dead does not run gas up to th engine. so yess if the fuel pump is dead it will NOT start but WILL turn over. The battery, ignition and starter all make the truck turn over
