Question about 1995 Nissan Quest

95 quest no dash lights

The dash lights on my 95 quest do not work. What I read leads me to think the tcu module is bad but I cannot find the darn thing. There a 2 white plastic boxes to the left behind the fuse panel but I am not sure that is what I am looking for. Can someone tell me where I should be looking? The headlight switch works but anything that runs through the dimmer control is gone. Thanks for the help dan

Passenger side high beam malfunctions. low beam ok. high beam goes off. bulb new. where would short be.

The only thing I can think of is there is 2 possible causes for this problem.
1. There is a relay under the hood that activates the lights, check that.
2. There is possible a black box just under the dash to the right of the brake pedal and I believe its called the lighting control box or module.
I have replaced both many times, it generally leads to having to rewire the lights. Some times the light control module works and sometimes it doesn't, I have reported this some time ago, but they do nothing about it. Good Luck and hope this helps.

Turn signal & flashers stopped working on '95 geo tracker 2wd, 5 speed.

old post 95 tracker.
ALL four corners dead and dash (warn lamp dead) in cluster
do you hear i flash, click click????
first is fuses, but there are 2 .
http://www.fixkick.com/power-elect/95%20electrics/all-lamps95b.pdf

page 2 see that.
are the 2 blink/has fuses good. test good not just LOOK good
after all if a feed is shorted you will blow both. (tested)

the blinker module ,usually dont fail
its electronic and robust.
fuses good, then
the black wire ground cut or rusty a body
G200 it uses, and if bad usually kills the engine.
yellow-white must be 12vdc blinks on. key on
switch is bad. i bet this is ok
the relay green is OUTPUT
if the blinker has power it clicks
if it green wire flashes with test lamp the blinker module is good
if the output of the blinker switch is dead L and right
the switch is bad.
assumes both left and right sides not shorted. to ground.

Sport mode shift light flashing?

The s light blinking means you have an active code in you tcu or transmission control unit. there is a juumper wire behind the passenger side kick panel and if you use a paper clip or small wire to connect both terminals in the connector you can read the engine and transmission code out on the dash. Once the jumper wire is connected turn the key to the on position engine off and count how many times the s light blinks. Thats the number of your code. I would read the codes out first before doing anything else.

Central locking and alarm going off changed battery on key and still not working

I think it's in the boot on A4's?

Could it have bee disturbed somehow (loading stuff into boot?) or got wet/damp?

Other things to look for are corrosion to wiring leading into the central locking ECU, which (depending on which A4 it is) could be in the NSF footwell behind the carpets and plastic trim panels. Some A4's are bad for "dry" soldered joints in the loom leading up to the module.

When you manualy operate the OSF door and get in, does the interior light come on and does the "Door open" dash information module still function corrently?

Turn the key the my Nissan Quest 1996 and no starter action. Not even a click and the dash lights go from dim to dark. I also noticed that my headlights wont come on at all, however the interior lights...

I WOULD CHECK THE BATTERY CONNECTIONS, IT SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS A LOOSE CONNECTION THERE, I WOULD TAKE THE TERMANALS OFF CLEAN THEM AND RECONNECT THEM, AND YOU CAN JUMP START THAT VEHICAL. I WOULD START THERE. SOMETIMES IF THE BATTERY HAS A DEAD CELL IT WILL DO THAT ALSO. AFTER YOU CLEAN THE TERMANALS PUT THE LIGHTS ON AND CHECK THE BATTERY VOLTAGE IF IT GOES BELOW 10 VOLTS YOU HAVE A VERY WEAK BATTERY AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT, IF YOU HAVE AAA YOU CAN CALL FOR BATTERY SERVICE AND THEY WILL COME OUT TEST THE WHOLE SYSTEM STARTING,CHARGING,AND BATTERY. IF THE BATERY IS BAD THEY WILL REPLACE IN RIGHT THEN AND THERE. THE ONLY THING YOU PAY FOR IS THE BATTERY NO LABOR.

Dash warning light

on the 93 there is a problem with the abs system. there are several things that could be wrong. if i remember correctly the module is behind the passenger side kick panel. you will find a single wire coming off the module. if you ground it then turn on the key it will flash the brake lights in the dash. count the flashes this is the code for the error. it will help in the repair. as for the second truck you have a leak that needs repaired.
