Question about 1999 Audi A4
I recently bought an 1999 audi a4 1.8 T and the check engine light came on. I toke the car back to the place I bought it from and the mechanic said the code is related to the throttle bodied. What I find strange is that the car idles fine (a little under 1000 rpms) and runs fine too (never died).
Something else that happened is the hazard lights don’t blink, they stay on. That happens with the turning signals too but not all the time. If I try to use the remote to open or close the doors those blinkers will came on and stay like that for about 15 minutes before they turn of.
The vehicle had been parked for about 4 months before I bought it and the battery was replaced.
All I did was an oil change, fully synthetic and I’ve been using the best grade gas. All the other fluids where checked and brought up to level.
Thank You for your help.
Locate the relay for the alarm and or the flasher unit and replace it...
