Question about 1991 Honda Civic
I have cranked the steering wheel, the car is in park and it wont turn. sometimes it will catch and the car will start but it usually takes me about 30 mins. Do you think i just need to get a new key made or do i need to get a new ignition???
You need to replace the ignition switch- most cars run around $25. they are fairly simple to replace.
remove the shroud that covers the steering wheel, turn the key to ACC, using a small flat head screwdriver, press the release button- usually located on the top right side, the switch should pull out with no problem. make sure the new switch is turned to ACC, and slide it in the slot, make sure the new switch works before you reassemble everything.
