My 91 geo was running fine until the other night when it started hesitating and sputtering. It seems the problem is worse the more speed i try to get. It has had a rough idle as of late as well. I was thinking of changing the fuel filter, but i dont know if it is even fuel related. Anyone?

Your timing belt is worn out. Some days it runs good because the cogs are lined up. The next time you start it, it maybe backfires just a touch, and it's out of time. Today, it's really out. Or maybe even broken.
hi there it could be a number of things including the fuel filter could be blocked or there could be something in the lines if it is a fuel injected vechile it could be a injector but my bes bet is and seems like it could have a weak fuel pump
