You take the car to someone who can tell you what the code is and either have them fix it or fix it yourself. I hope that helps.

How too take abs light off after new brakes are fitted

Fitting new brakes wouldn't usually put the abs light on unless you disconnected the abs and then switched on the ignition, made an unfortunate mistake or coincidentally an abs fault occured naturally.

The abs light is supposed to illuminate for a few seconds when the ignition is switched on and then go out signalling there are no faults. If the abs light is on it means a fault has been detected.

Early systems would cancel the light when the fault had been located and rectified but I believe modern systems require the use of diagnostic equipment.

How can i reset esc and abs dash light

The warning lights will stay on until the problem with the stability control and anti lock braking system is addressed and rectified.

If the warning lights are still showing there is still a problem with the system such as faulty wheel sensors.

Why abs light on

The ABS warning light is on because there is a fault in the anti-lock braking system(ABS) and the system is no longer operational. This does not affect the normal braking of the vehicle. But if you lock up the wheels under heavy braking, with an inactive ABS in your car, there is no system to release brake pressure and allow the wheels to rotate and regain tire grip .

The most likely cause of the fault is a failure of one or more of the wheels speed sensors. Until the fault is rectified the warning light will remain.

Why is my abs warning light stoppinng on

The abs light illuminated to test the system and usually goes out after a couple of seconds to say everything is ok.
When the light stays on, it means there is a fault with the system and need rectifying. :)

How to reset abs light in a subaru forester

The ABS light on your vehicle will self-reset, once the condition causing the light to illuminate is rectified.
Reasons for the ABS light coming on are:
  1. Worn brake pads;
  2. Worn calipers (beyond tolerance);
  3. Defective ABS unit;
  4. Low brake fluid level;
  5. Defective master cylinder;
  6. Brake fluid leak.
It is important that whatever condition is causing the ABS light to illuminate is corrected as soon as possible, as it indicates a potential hazardous condition exists with your vehicle.

1998 gdi grand chariot abs light is always on and has A tak tak sound when driving

needs to have system checked,could be as simple as debris,grease,dirt fouling an abs sensor.best bet is to take it to a dealer,another thing to consider is if you have a warning light on for something like abs or airbag etc,that system is out of order and will not work till fault is rectified.

ABS LIGHT STAYS ON SPORTAGE 2003

Hi

This could be a dirty or faulty wheel sensor, a faulty ABS pump, or a faulty ABS computer.

You could try cleaning the wheel sensors by spraying them with brake cleaner, and if this doesn't rectify the problem then a garage can read out the ABS fault codes and tell you what the problem is.

Sometimes just a reset is enough to clear it.

Brake lights for nissan pulsar 1998,abs lights for same

check the fuses for the rear tail lights, check the lights, make sure they are not burnt out. (abs cable is probably not the problem, but have it changed so you know that there isn't one)
