There is a triangular piece, at top corner, covering a screw behind the mirror. Remove that screw. Remove the piece that covers the handle and remove the screw holding the handle to the door. Look through, where door handle was and remove another screw just above where the handle was. This screw is holding the panel to the actual door. Pop the cover off for the automatic door locks and disconnect them. Lift the panel in an upward direction.

It simply clips in, gently pull on one of the bottom corners of the panel you will feel it pop loose, you may have a few screws in or near the arm rest to remove.

SOURCE: how to remove right front panel on 2000 ford

This is for the front passenger side door panel from a 1999 Ford Expedition. The driver's side door should be the same, except for the mirror switch which needs to be unplugged. The 1998 *might* be the same, I don't know, but this should be helpful to someone.

Use a flat blade screwdriver or other suitable tool to pry out on the top of the triangular plastic panel on the top front of the door panel. The plastic holder should pull out of the door. Now pry up on both sides of the triangular panel and pull it loose. Remove the philips head screw you find under this panel. Pull the door latch handle, pry out the insert where the handle goes through, and remove the bolt that holds the door handle in place. Remove the door handle. Pry up on the ends of the door switch panel to remove it. Unplug the cables by pushing in on the lock tab on the side of the plug and pulling out. Remove the philips head screw accessible through the switch panel hole. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the courtesy light lens and pry up and out to remove the lens. Remove the philips head screw behind this lens. Pull up on the door panel to remove it. Be careful of the courtesy light when removing the panel - give the light a quarter turn counter-clockwise from the rear to remove it from the door panel.

Its possible that this GUIDE can helpfull as reference.

Hope this help.

sounds like the window regulator broke or it came loose or your linkage came loose. you have to try to look inside the window opening to see whats jaming it and try to use a coat hanger to move it away to open door so you can remove the door panel, heres some diagrams to help you.you can also try to remove the panel with the door closed if you cant open it but you may have to pry it off,226db0d.gifd0b85f8.gifbae3440.gif

Driver door will not open from inside

Your inside door handle is probably broken. The gear has stripped causing it not to work. Remove the door panel to verify the rod for the inside handle is not moving. .
