Sounds like a blown carefull if you are using it as the engine can run on the oil and blow the engine up...if it starts revving you wont be able to stop it unless you stall it very quickly!!!!!!

My bmw x5 is smoking and loosing power any ideas???

Has the car overheated recently or in the past? If you are seeing white smoke from the exhuast you may have a cracked cylinder head or blown head gasket. If you are seeing white smoke from the exhaust, check the oil for signs of coolant (milky brown oil color or any foamy white on the dipstick) Also check you coolant level to see if it is lower than normal. If the smoke you are seeing is black you should also check you oil level. (could be a burned valve).

I have a 1999 mitsubishi montero sport with 3.0L engine smokes a lot and it does not goes away.

White smoke is antifreeze leak into cylinder.
Blue smoke is oil passing by rings or valve stems.
Black smoke could be gasoline problem or tune up problem.

Wish you luck on this repair.

Smoking e36 328 ise sport help please

Sorry, but it seems like you have bad valve stem seals. You should also get a compression check of your cylinders for volumetric efficiency to see if the piston rings are bad also.
