Question about 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 2/w Drive. Both a/c and heater works good, the only thing is that it must stay on high speed # 5. If I drop the the fan speed to any thing lower, the system shuts off. Its started by loosing fan speed # 1 then #2 and so on the only one that has continued to work is #5. Please help, is it the in dash heater a/c switch that needs replacement or a simple fuse that has expired.
The blower motor resister is bad...It is very common in chevy trucks. The resister is located behind the glove box and is held in place by two screws, it will also have a wire harness attached to it. If you want to see a picture of it go to www.partsamerica.com and search for the blower motor resister.

Not the fuse, if that was blown, the system would not work at all. Probably your switch assembly has gone bad.
