Question about 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
I have a 00 Jetta 2.0l 4cyl. auto. trans. I just had the breaks replaced about a week ago then a few days after that the ignition failed had to replace the whole tumbler assembly. I got the car back today and it will not shift from 3rd to 4th hovers around 4500 rpm at 60mph. It will not go over 60mph. Also when you are at a stop and the car is idle when you take your foot off the break it will not move you have to almost floor it to get it to go.. Any Suggestions would be helpful. I am short of just blowing the stupid thing up!!!
Sounds like a crappy brake job..jack up the wheels and see if wheels turn freely ...when changing brake shoes the emergency cables have to be re-adjusted to allow the shoes to fully return...car in neutral should free wheel or coast ,not be restricted
