Question about 2005 Chrysler 300
One of my cylinders is misfiring. I already have new wires, plugs, a new coil for that cylinder, and a new injector for that cylinder, and the problem still happens.
Also, when I put the pedal to the floor, my RPMs rev high, but my car doesnt accelerate. It just coasts. If someone could help me out, I would forever be in your debt.
I have a 2006 5.7 Hemi 300C AWD - #4 cylinder started to misfire at idle. Problem just happened without cause on a Sunday morning. Dealership mechanics have exchanges coils, PCM, etc. problem stays with #4 and is sporadic (soemtiem cold idle, sometimes hot). Happened after a new fill of 90 octane gas from Shell (always use this station, never any previous problems). Car is in perfect shape, with only the dealer ever touching it at every req. maintenance schedule. Today they are pulling the head to check for valve issues. SMART troubleshooting trees and TSB's are no help so far. Anyone else with a solution?

On the 3.5 engines the valves dont rotate unless engine rpms are run between3500 to 5000 wich causes carbon build up on the valves wich causes a misfire chrysler has a valve train update kit where they put new springs and clips that let the valves rotate at a lower rpm to keep them clean

What's the "inlet manifold valve axle"? Is that the pivot for the throttle body blade or an idle air bypass valve? Thanks!

Changed to IRIDIUM spark plugs and loosened the inlet manifold valve axel and tightened the inletmanifold with the correct tork so the axel can moove freely, that solved the problem...

Check for a hairline crack in distributor cap.....also if car revs and doesn't accelerate ,sounds like your transmission, possibly your pump ,if your lucky, lesser of two evils
