Question about 2001 Kia Rio
This morning I went to start my rio and it did not crank. I have all the dash lights and radio (which cuts out when the key is turned, like you would expect). AAA checked the battery and said its fine. In Sep I had all the recalls done on the car, including the ECM update.
Since the dealer visit is when it has been slow to crank, but always fired up after a brief hesitation.
Possibilities I am looking at are starter, ignition, neutral safety swt. ANything else??
Ignition switch is good idea to start with as well as starter. if it cranked with no spark i will guess timing belt or crank sensor but you say it doesn't crank
let me know after you try some other fixes. Like ignition switch
