If the 3rd break light on the rear of cab works then check the panels where the bulbs snap into make sure there is no corrotion if so replace the panels you can get them at any auto parts for $20. to $40 each.

I got a 2000 cavalier 2.2 and my headlights stopped working i still have running lights taillights and breaklights .havent had blinkers for awhile .checked fuses all good bought a multiarm and that did...

Relay switches are sometimes located in the fuse panel box or under the hood of the vehicle, look for a 12 to 14 inch long black box, you will have to take the top off and the relays and fuses should be there. Make sure the wiring connections to the lights and other components having problems with have good tight connections. Hope this Helps.

My headlights, taillights, breaklights, interiorlights and doorlocks won't work.

Check the positive wire coming off the battery. It will split into two branches, one goes to the starter and the other powers just about everything else in the car. Check the wire that is not going to the starter. Mine was badly corroded. my buddy had the same problem. I fixed it with a kit from autozone.

Brake lights don't work but taillights do

This can be one of several things. First thing I would check is to make sure you don't have a blown fuse for the brake lights. They may not be on the same fuse as the taillights. If no blow fuse then check the switch that touches the metal bar on your brake pedal. This switch closes when you apply the brake. Use an volt meter to make sure the switch is shorted when you apply the brake. If both of these things are ok then you will probably have to take it to a dealer.

My taillights are not working. I don't have my owner's manual to tell me which fuse controls the taillights

grab a flash light and look for blackened fuses or grab a test light, hook the negative to the battery and just touch the sharp end to each fuse, if it doesn't light up then that's it. good luck

I bought a 1995 truck and the brake lights aren't working I noticed ythat the hazzard light switch is busted up could that be the source of my problem

Check the fuses. And check for power at the taillights (These taillights have circuit boards on the back side that can go bad.) I don't think the hazard switch is it because the brakes would still work. Also check the brake pedal switch. There is a hazard flasher, does the hazards work?

If you already see a broken wire, why not just splice it back together and check if this solves your brakelight problem. You can get a crimp splice at any auto parts store, or you could solder the connections and use electrical tape to insulate.

My breaklights not working

f the lights only actuate normally when you press the brake pedal, then you may have a bad brake switch or need to readjust it (under the brake pedal you'll see it actuate when you press the pedal by hand). Look up the switch on http://www.autozone.com for your year make model and get fix it info.
