To avoid confusion, tag and remove the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.

SOURCE: What is the firing order of the spark plug wires

1-5-3-6-2-4
Number 1 plug is in the front, with 2,3,4,5, and 6, right after it, going towards the back.

The distributor rotates Clockwise. Viewing the distributor cap from the top, view the two mounting screws. One on the lower right, the other is on the upper left.
Number 1 spark plug tower, is immediately to the ->left of the lower right screw.

Order of spark plug wires

You didn't specify 2wd or 4wd, but it won't matter as it turns out they are the same. The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. To see a diagram go to http://autorepair.about.com/library/firing_orders/bl-fo-4771.htm
