You have a worned out clutch pads and it needs replacing, this also include the pressure plate from which clutch pads are pressed to achieve transfer of power from engine to your tires.

How to bypass neutral safety switch on Saab 9-5

You will have to look for the neutral lock out switch on the gear shift lever or linkage and replace it, you might be able to find it in the counsel or go under the car to find it. you could splice the wires together and bypass it but thats not a good idea

Why is my Saab not shifting out of park? Engine turns on and when I press the brake and attempt to shift, the shifter moves (too) smoothly through the gears, but engages none. Could it be the shift c

Look where the end of the cable is connected and ask someone to move the gear shift...if you do not see any movement so most probably is the cable!!! But if it moves then the best should be better check with tech2 because you can check if there is any codes and activate solenoids!?

I have a 2000 Saab 95 5 speed manuel transmission andi cant shift

It seems that you may have a Vacuum Lock on the Transmission. You really need to locate an Authorized Mechanic for this Repair as it is Pretty Extensive.

1991 SAAB 9-3 - key goes in igntiion but will not turn, can't get out of gear

there may be a mechanical back up system to temporaily bypass the electrical circuit. Look in your owner manual. Some have a small hole in the shift console to insert a pin the depress the release for the shift interlock.

Can't remove key from 9.3 saab convertible

If the car is a manual transmission car, it has a reverse lockout function. The gear shift lever must be in reverse to remove the key.

SAAB 2002 93 automatic gear stuck

you have to push your shift override button? Your cable that runs from your ignition/steering column to your shift knob could be worn and therefore loose not allowing the car the be shifted out of park (as if your key weren't in the ignition). Hope this helps

Someone Please Help

Reading from another site, it seems that this issue is common. There is a way to get it out of P. The problem is due to a fault in the microswitch that is fitted on the Shift-lock solenoid. In order for you to be able to select another gear, disconnect the Shift-lock manually by pressing down the key in the hole next to the selector lever, while at the same time shifting the selector to the neutral position. Will refer you to the site from which I got this information and it also gives info on how to change out the solenoid.
