The cylinder that activates the throw out bearing is inside the housing for the transmission. You have to pull it anyway.

Leaking fluid hydraulic clutch

I would check for fluid at the bottom of the bell housing. The slave cylinder is inside the housing and known for leakage problems. The transmission would have to be removed to replace it.

2003 Saturn Vue with 151000 miles on it, leaking clutch fluid and won't shift.

The leaking component must be found and replaced or repaired. I dont know how a "garage" could have bled the line with a leak in the system. Take it back, get your money refunded or make them find the leak and fix it.

Clutch needs to be pushed right down to change gear

Check that your clutch fluid reservoir has plenty of fluid and that there are no leaks in the system or from the bottom of the bell housing. If this OK then the clutch release arm and clutch plate will need to be checked. The release arm sits on a pivot on the inside of the bell housing and my guess is that the pivot has worn a hole through the release arm.

Sounds as if you may be having a problem with the clutch. It could be that the clutch plate is worn out and no longer disengages from the flywheel completely.

No its internal meaning that its in the bell housing. The bell housing is bolted to the gearbox to hous the clutch befor being bolted to the engine. It has no seal on it.So when your slave cylinder leaks,The fluid drips from the bell housing. And the only way to get at it is to remove the gearbox.

Is your driving primarily city?
You may want to check to see if the clutch master cylinder reservoir is full. If it is not full you may have a leak or the clutch friction disk is worn. If the fluid is at the correct level, you might consider having the fluid flushed and refilled.
