Turn the temp gauge down to a cool temp the air will blow at that temp. It blow with out the main unit on at a very low speed for fresh air. This is what I did with mine.

Probably the heater control valve in the engine compartment usually mounted to one of the heater hose , the valve is broken internally and allowing hot water to constantly flow into the heater core, i would first check this valve by replacing it or by-passing it.

Heat will not shut off in my 79 Camaro the heat controls are off and I disconnected the blower motor and heat still comes out of the dash all the time

If it does it when you are moving but not parked, it may be the flow-thru vent system and a problem with the heater core. Air flows into the passenger compartment when the car is moving, and the blend door that shuts off air flowing thru the heater core may not be closed.

The engine is likely ruined from running while being over heated.

My 2008 mazda cx9 fan started blowing after shutting off the engine, blows for one minute and quits

To a limited extent this is normal because the engine goes into a heat soak condition when it is shut down- hot areas with the water jacket surrounding it are still heating up from the residual heat in the engine.

2006 tahoe with heated seats. when the seat is

The heating element in the seat may be failing, even thogh it heats the seat, the element could be causing the circut to spike upon power shut down. Relay takes mili-second to shut down after ignition kill and power feed comes direct from battery. Check amp. draw at switch of bad seat and good seat upon shut down. If bad seat higher that 5 amp difference element n/g. Also check for bad relay as they can short internal and cause problems if primary power cut before switch shut down.

1998 Blazer, no heat to floor

Mine did the same thing. Has there been an accident where there may be glass that fell behind holding the shield door shut? If not it's the shield itself that is under the dash and you have to tear the dash apart to get to it. The shield is stuck shut on you and that is why there is no floor heat.
