Where to locate the transmission filter for 2003 Mitsubishi lancer

most transmission filters are in the pan of the transmission and unless there is a failure seldom need changing. If there is a problem with the transmission operation then remove the pan and clean the filter and while you are at it have the bands and clutch pack adjusted.

Oil change

If you love your car, then use ;
5w 30 up to 10w 40. Ask in a store for this grade of oil and use a semi synthetic based oil.
good luck.
ps, your drivers manual will give you a good idea.
