Question about GMC Yukon XL
This can be either in your ignition switc the electrical part under the steering column or a shorted field circuit in your alternator, very carefully see if you can unplug the wires going to the alternator and then disconnect the battery and you will be able to turn off the engine however use extreem caution while you work under the hood especially while the engine is running!!!!!!
