Question about 1996 Chevrolet K1500

1995 C1500 Cheyenne flasherstat stays on

Flasherstat goes on for no reason especially after using signal. Sometimes goes on by itself. Changed driver rear bulb out and flasherstat out, as fast blinking turn signal/no rear t/signal. Now t/signals work but flasherstat stays on from 1min to indeffinently. Flasherstat stops momentarily when brakes applied.

I was having a similar problem due to a damaged hazard switch until I finally lost all lights. You might try to use electrical contact cleaner blown down around the hazard button on the column as dust can collect causing a short. The contacts are on the right side of the button. Replacing the whole switch was my only option due to the extent of the damage though.

Where do the 4 wires that plug into the brake light switch on a 1989 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 truck origanate from

Are you having trouble with brake lamps? The orange wire is voltage for brake lamps, voltage comes from fuse. When brake switch is activated, the white wire goes hot, goes to turn signal switch. Your lower brake lamps are wired through turn signal switch.
Any other wires may be for cruise control, where applicable. I'm probably leaving something out, I just can't think what it is, at the moment?

What is the high side and low side of the AC in 1994 Cheyenne?

Are you trying to determine whether it needs filling?Unless your a/c system has been completely changed to use the current freon, you will be unable to do it yourself.1994 has the old R-12 which mainly shops can only do because you need a special permit just to buy handle and use it and is very costly.1995 and after have the R134-a freon which you can do yourself much cheaper than a shop. You cannot use one with the other as they have different properties.Let me know if you have the old system or are unsure.
Good luck! Greg
