Question about 1995 Chevrolet C1500

Blower resistors need replaced

I see behind the glove box where the resistors are, I just don't know how to get them out to replace them. It looks like to tight a space to get a wrench to get the screws out.

Blower control switch is bad i think. But do I have to tear apart the dash to get to it. If so wear do i start?

Why do you think it is bad? Not familiar with this model, but most cars' blower motor and resistor is on the passenger side under the dash (and/or behind glove box). if a part of the dash needs to removed, it is usually just the glove box, a plastice cover, or to pull back carpet. But make sure you know what part is bad, don't just replace random parts, wasting time and money.

The heat/ac fan works only on high. All other functions operate normally. I am told there is a module located in the duct that needs replaced. Is this true, if so how do I access it?

Try opening the glove box and looking in behind it for wires coming from blower motor and they will go to a connector that is attached to the blower motor resistor, usually mounted in the ducting with 2 small screws. That resistor needs to be replaced. You may have to empty glove box and flip it down to see it, or look up under and behind glove box.

Where is the heater blower resistor located in a 2000 Subaru Outback? I've seen one reply in a forum saying it is to the left of the blower motor, but I don't know where that is either. I need to...

the blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. The blower motor resistor is located behind the glove box assembly. You will need to remove the glove box assembly and then you will see the resistor. It will have one connector with four or five wires and will be held to the HVAC unit with 2 screws.

The heating and air conditioning fan only works on the highest speed position. What would cause the lower speeds not to work?

If the system is a Manual ( not the EATC / Electronic Automatice Temperature Control System ) it is most likely the blower motor resistor.

For the new body style 2004 ( not the 2004 Heritage or Lightning models ), it is behind the glove box.
Open teh glove box, press on one side, to allow the glove box to hang down.
The Blower motor resistor is located in the side of the blower motor housing.

If your 2004 is a Heritage or Lightning, the blower motor resistor is access from under the dash / glove box area.

On this type ( same as the 97-03 ) the blower motor resistor or the resistor and pigtail might need to be replaced.

Just pay attention to which body style 2004 you have ( new like the 2005-2008 or the 2004 Heritage / Lightning, which looks like the 97-03 MY trucks.
