That is probably a little electrical pump that stopped working,
under the bonnet driver side (left of the engine)
the brushes wore out.
fixed that once, making my own brushes

I am leaking anti-freeze in my chevy 1994 cheyenne C2500, and i dont now know how to change the heater core. Which i think that is the problem because i have lost a lot of anti-freeze and now my truck is...

it prob isnt the heater core usually when that goes u blow antifreeze steam into cab from heater vents. prob water pump or pin hole in radiator line if from the front of the engine or bad gaskets or bad freeze plugs if from the rear also check ur thermostat to make sure it working prop because u could simply be blowing out ur over flow line cause **** is plugged an over heating

Thermostat gauge goes about 3/4 way up after start up but when driving starts the gauge comes down about half-way and heat is good but at every stop, the gauge rises and heat cools again.....maybe stuck...

It sounds like there is a leak of some sort. (hose, freeze plug, water pump, blown head gasket, etc.) The coolant level is probably low. You need to check it ASAP! Check the coolant level and if it is low you need to find out why and get it repaired...You DON'T want to overheat that engine! Especially if you have the 3.0L V-6. It only has to overheat once to do some serious engine damage.

My car is running hot and leaking water? i have changed the thermostat and it didn't help. there is water leaking from looks like the side of the engine maybe? the gage on the inside of the car didn't show...

if water is leaking from side of engine .. look to see if its leaking on side of intake check thermostat housing again check water pump or if its leaking towards the bottom of block it could be a freeze plug all easy fixes freeze plugs can be replaced with an expansion plug that has a nut on it to tighten to fit or replace with oem and a hammer

My car overheats

Assuming you have no leak. First look at the thermostat. Take it out whilst the engine is cold, place it in boiling water and if it opens fully it is probably ok. Look at the colour of the water coming out of the thermostat housing. If it looks muddy, your radiator could be blocked. It needs to be chemically cleaned by an expert. If that is ok, then your pump may be have died. If that is OK could be the head gasket but you would be using water, with no outside leak. Once you have sorted out the problem, refill your rasdiator and use a good anti freeze to protect your car's cooling parts.

I dont have heat in the car. I have changed the thermostat and anti-freeze. It now blows very luke warm air.

They have different degree thermostats. If you got a 120, then it will blow warmer air, but a higher degree will let the water back up and get hotter before it circulates the engine. Be sure they have this option for your vehicle and if so, what would be the next thermostat degrees are.

I poured bug washer liquid in my temperature gauge. What could happen to my car? The bug washer liquid is pink. I wasn't looking and there was another container that had a pinkish looking liquid...

The worst that could happen is that BUG liquid is not ANTI-FREEZE... and in the worst cast scenario is that your COOLANT will FREEZE in cold temperature. I dont know the chemical composition of the Bug Liquid but my guess is, that its mostly water. If your coolant tank is not overfilled I would tryin to add - pure anti-free NOT the 50/50... If you can add you can still add the same quantity of ANTIFREEZE as the quantity of BUG liquid you added, you should be alright. That being said, neither I nor any mechanic is likely to know what will happen with the bug liquid at High Temperatures of the engine. This is more important if you are planning to keep this car for more than a few years. When you drive, keep an eye on the temperature of the engine, if you notice un-usually high temperature, that may be a sign that your bug liquid is RUINING the thermostat. But basically if you dont want to have this head-ache, go to your local mechanic, and tell him that you want your cooling system drained and FLUSHED. (and Refilled with ANTI-FREEZE properly mixed) You dont want to find out what happens when WATER FREEZEs inside the engine. What Happens When the water freezes? IT EXPANDS, and you dont want that. Unless you are planning to buy a new engine. If this was helpful PLEASE leave feedback. Thanks
