Which is a better/more efficient carberator on a VW Super Beetle?

I am currently working on a Sixty-Nine VW Super Beetle. The current carb on the motor is rebuilt, but isnt the most efficient, its a solex thirty-pict two carb. When rebuilding it theres an area inside the carb that you cant get to to clean it. I've asked many VW enthusuiasts, and they've all said I would be better off getting another carb, preferrably a pict three carb or pict one. Which is the most efficient of the bunch?

Check with VW performance parts suppliers, there are better choices, the stock carb is made for MPG not horsepower.

Vw super beetle won't start after sitting for a few days. After I arc the solenoid, it will work.

If you put battery voltage to the starter solenoid &
it works & the starter works, then the solenoid control
circuit has issues

Fuse,ignition switch,neutral safety switch,clutch sw
& such, depending on what the car has

You could try switching relays but doubt that is an issue

Where is fuel filter for a 1979 VW Super Beetle

It should be along the fuel line (in-line filter) leading towards the carb.

I have a 2002 VW Beetle TDI my passenger side brake light is out, I replaced it with two separate bulbs, check the fuses and still does not work. What else can I do?

Validate the there's current in the light socket. Use a test meter and see if it's above 0v. Probably just poor contact, and it's an easy fix.

''VW BEETLE FLASHERS WORK BUT BLINKERS DO NOT'' Replaced flasher module because was told it had dual function but blinkers still do not work. Is there another component somewhere or is blinker selector arm...

Check all fuses. Use a test light to check if there is current to the rear bulbs when flashers engaged. If there is, then replace the burnt bulbs. Check for ground at the rear lights.
Do the front marker lights work when engaged??
