2000 vw beetle rear right turn signal light not working

Aloha
the right rear turn signal light is not working. the clicking noise is also doing double-time for the right only. the left is normal. i replaced the bulbs, no change. i replaced the hazard/flasher switch, no change. the front light works, so does the small light under the side mirror. any ideas on what might be the problem here?
surfer5life@hawaiiantel.net Mine is a 2005 VW Beetle. I'm getting the fast clicking with the right turn signal. Right rear blinker is out. Haven't tried replacing bulb yet...doing research to see if it is easy enough to do myself.

Mine is flashing too fast also. Only on the left side. Took bulbs out of rear thinking it was going out. But all lights are working just left side blinking to fast! Whats up??

Sounds like your relay is bad, relay is located in the fuse box area. Please give a 4 THUMBS UP if this free answer was helpful in any way. Good Luck and have a Great Day.

Make sure you have the right bulbs in and make sure they are working. the front turn signal bulb is a 7528 and the rear is a 7528 also.

Have a 2000 VW Beetle. The alarm won't turn off!

My 2000 Beetle does same thing (although not all the time). Just found an internet post that suggests there is a problem in the door lock sensor. I assume you are using a regular key - not
the keyless entry - like I am. He also said that you can disable the alarm (also disables the
keyless entry - which doesn't bother me) by leaving the front door AND the rear trunk open and
starting the car up. Seems to work so far. I will get the door lock sensor replaced and turn the
alarm system back on (not sure how yet), and let you know if that stops the problem.

1999 vw beetle 2.0 not turbo. signal lights not blinking

You are talking about the turn signal flasher unit correct?

This is not where or what you would expect.
It's all contained in the 4 way flasher switch located on the same panel that hold your climate controls.
They engineers at VW put the entire flasher control unit on the back of the switch for the emergency flashers.
