Jeep won't start has power to lights but won't turn over

So my jeep has power to the lights and everything, but it won't turn over or even click. i think it might be the started but i am not sure. does anyone have any other ideas

Identical problem.  From starting fine, no running problem, to turn the key and get nothing at all.  Never seen this.  Lights, radio all fine.  Wonder if there is a schematic here that shows where the starter is.

The starter is a good possibility. Try tapping the starter with a small hammer while trying to start it. Sometimes the brushes in the starter get dirty and tapping it will jar them loose. If the jeep starts then replace the starter. If the jeep does not start, take a test light and see if you are getting voltage to the big nut on the starter while trying to start it. If it's getting 12 volts and the jeep does not start, then replace the starter.

1997 Jeep Cherokee. Problem with starting. Just replaced the relay fuse. Still having problems. The car will start if sitting for awhile. If you keep clicking the ignition switch the car will start. Do you think the ignition needs replacement?

Jeep won't start.

If it is not cranking then the starter motor/solenoid is either defective or it is not receiving the power from the battery. Did you check to see if the starter motor is receiving power when you turn ignition to start position?

My jeep won't start or even turn over

you need to check the voltage at the battery when you have trouble. should always remain above 12 volts.
If not then the battery or the connections are bad. first test the battery right at it's lug terminals, then check the terminal connectors. battery or cable or connectors - def sounds like major voltage issue in the battery area!

1988 jeep won't start

Not sure if I read your post right, but you have to have a hot wire to the ignition switch from the battery, independent of anything else on the car, before the switch will work.
The CPS is a common problem on the jeeps, though. If bad, you may not get a coil signal.

I Have a 94 cherokee country with a 56028297 ecu,it has no power at the grey wire at the ecu,it does flash sometimes and I can hear the relay work sometimes. I can bypass the fuel pump relay circuit and...

If you hear relays clicking sometimes and the jeep won't start, at those times, is the check engine light illuminated on the dash, or not? If no check engine light is on the dash, at times when the jeep won't start, your ecu is in need of repairs. The ecu sends power to the ignition and fuel relays and when the ecu starts to malfunction, the relays usually start clicking.

Sounds like a short in the electrical system. Maybe even just a loose ground wire. On the other hand...It could just as easily be a bad ECM (BRAIN)! Warranty still in tact? I hope so. Diagnostic at a certified Jeep shop... Good Luck!
