Question about 2003 Toyota Corolla

1 Answer

My 2003 Corolla ''S'' will not start. It turns over but not star

I have a new battery. When I step on the gas peddle, the car makes sounds like it's trying to start, but it does not. All lights and icons show on dash. The battery icon, however, flashes.

Can you give me some insight. I hope it's only a fuse problem (shows what I know about cars)

Fuel injected engines don't need to be pumped before starting, if you do flooding can occur. Make a conscious effort NOT to touch the pedal until after you turn the key to the start position and the engine actually starts.

I have a 2003 Toyota corolla and my car won't

Same thing happened to me. Turned out to be a blown Alt fuse (under the hood behind the battery, you'll have to unbolt the whole fuse box though. That fuse is bolted in from underneath) and a blown am2 fuse (look underneath the dash of the driver side from inside the car). I switched those out and the car started right up

Look for a dislodged or cracked vacuum tube. What you have done should not be able to cause what is happening. Exhaust is hot, the cylinder burn temps are around 2000 to 2500 degrees F.

I bet you have inadvertantly created an intake leak.

Battery on toyota corolla 2003

make sure battery cables are secure on or into the battery and not loose. If cables are loose it will cause your alternater to fail therfore not fully keeping battery charged. If battery cables are not loose replace battery.
