I have a 97 dodge avenger 2.0 that has trouble starting. Has battery power but does not even turn over. After many tries it just starts. I have replaced the starter with a new one, same issue. What could this be?

Re: Have power but no start
Ck your battery and a loose connection do a load test on battery...could be the iggnistion switch...orrrrrrrrr the starter cell a noid or benix drive if they are seprerated from the starter do the load test first

Check Battery connects,Cables.Clean !Also to engine ground. Then Alternator belt tension.Listen for slippage. Check connection on starter relay, and bolts on starter, tap on starter while a buddy starts engine, with the key. Could be bad brushes in starter and or bad relay at starter.
the regulator is bad or clogged fuel screen or just leaking/loosing fuel prime. try to key it up a few times to build prime before starting. no matter u need to replace the pump if its not holding 55psi at the fuel rail.
Sounds like the solenoid not grounded if you try to start and all it does is click then the solenoid is not grounded and if it's built on to the starter which it might be you might have to replace the starter. Try cleaning the wires going to the starter before you buy a new they may be corroded.
replace the turn signal switch it self, mine did the same thing with the left turn signal, put in fuse and it will continue to flash... went to junk yard pulled one out of a 97 avenger just like mine, swapped them out and now it works fine. looked to be like some corrosion... to repace: 3 screws under columb, 2 screws on side of signal switch (black plastic side). unplug and replace
Tune up (plugs, wires, and distributor cap) was done on a '97 Dodge Avenger with the 2.5l engine because it wouldn't start. It ran for 1 day after the tune up,but will not start now. No spark at the plugs. Any suggestions?
