Question about 1991 Chevrolet S-10
Heater core is out of my daughters truck.Just wondering if this is a major ordeal,Ive never changed one on this particular model truck??
HI, not to long age i replaced my heater core in my 1991 Chevy S-10. Its not as hard as you mite think it would be, but its no a walk in the park.. :) There are a few things you need to remove. First the glove box door, ash tray, the panel that surrounds the stereo and stereo, also the tray that holds the ash tray and last inside the glove box there is a small plastic panel at the back remove that and that should do it if I remember right. Ok now the fun part, be prepared to get your hands a little bite beat up, you are going to need a lot of extension for your wratches, some antifreeze and lots of pattions also about three hours. Injoy Blake.

It is a pretty big job. Get a shop manual from auto zone or AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM
This requires the removal of the: Glove box, stereo, heater controls(cables), gauge cluster, head light switch, ashtray.. and basically anything else needed to remove the dash. The Core is buried in the heater box that can only be accessed with the dash removed.
