Question about 2002 Chevrolet Silverado
I have a 2002 Silverado with a delco CD player. Recently while playing a CD, it showed the message ERR and spit out the CD. It continues to spit the CD out and makes a running sound every 10 seconds or so. I tried pressing the Recall button as someone suggested to reset it but now the display with the clock light has gone out. I know that the light itself still works because it briefly flashes the time when I turn my truck on.I also have heard that the fuse may be a problem but when I opened the fuse box, none said stereo. The closest was "vanity" but I was not sure if that was the right fuse and I didn't want to mess anything else up so I have not removed it.Please help! The constant CD spitting and noise are driving me crazy and I love listening to my CDs.
This is not a fuse problem, it may be a dirty laser lens or a broken loading mechanism, buy a CD player cleaner disk, if that won't work you will have to pull the unit out and send it in for repair at an authorized GM electronics repair station.

My 1998 Chevy Cavalier's Delco radio/CD player displayed ERR w/most CDs. Using car owners manual diagram, I removed radio fuse (from instrument panel left side fusebox) w/thin pliers. I cleaned corroded fuse contacts w/plier file (on inside of plier
tips). All CDs now play except laser lens cleaner. WTF?!
