Well I replaced the Transfer Case Control Module and the 4 button selector swith on the dash, and my 20001 Chevrolet Blazer Lt is still stuck in 4whl. drive high. Does anyone have any advice on this, Ive also already checked all fuses under the hood and in the truck, all are ok.

Had the same issue with a 2000 Blazer. It turned out to be the transfer control module like you said. Pretty good guess that's what's wrong with it. Been pretty cold here in Indy too...but we haven't seen but a few flakes so far. Hope this info proves to be useful! Have a nice night!

How do I put the 4 wheel drive into gear on a 2500 hd silveraldo automatic

If its got the lever on the floor. put in drive, let the truck come to about 5mph and let it roll and pull lever to 4 wheel HIgh/never use low unless you get stuck (AND DON'T use 4wd ON DRY PAVEMENT,(TRY FOR A SECOND AND TRY TO TURN GOING SLOW AND YOU'LL SEE WHY,IT WILL RUIN YOUR TRUCK!)Don't keep your truck in 4wd unless you have to (FULL SNOW COVERED ROADS).If your truck is older, and your gonna be in 4 wheel drive for a extended time lock the hubs (if IT HAS THEM ,NEWER ONES WON'T)I had a 1994 silverado chyenne 2500 nice truck, wrapped it around a tree a week after I finished putting 7G's into it ,I loved that truck :'(

Trans troubleshooting

If you are driving in 4 wheel drive on hard surface then you have drive line torque lock up as there is no centre diff to allow the front and rear wheels to equalise out the torque . 4 wheel drive is for use when on dirt / snow / ice where the differences between the front and back are allowed to slip the tyres . Jack up a rear wheel and allow the torque to dissipate by rotating a wheel . A point from all 4x4 manufacturers is that you NEVER drive in 4 wheel drive unless you are on dirt or ice/snow conditions. You have probably been getting away with it as any bump that lifts a wheel from the road surface will allow the wheel to slip. Even running the tyre on the white painted line on the road or any wet patch on the road will help ease the torque loading

use 4 wheel high only on slippery surfaces like icey roads dirt roads mud etc. can go as fast as you want [not recomended on slippery surfaces]
low is only for hard pulling like towing something up a hill or climbing steep grades

Just got H 2 2005 4 buttons 4 the 4 wheel drive

Use 2 wheels, the other 4wd low ,for climbing at slow speeds: 4wd high, for driving on low traction roads, like mud or snow,at medium speeds: 4wd auto full time all wheel drive, for highway speeds on slippery surfaces, like rain or light snow.

On a 1999 pathfinder, what 4 wheel gear do I use in the snow

Unless your climbing big hills, I'd leave it in 4 high, for normal roads. If you happen to get stuck, better to shift to low, to get out, then when back on highway, or main roads use high. Remember, 4 wheel drive might get you out of the snow or whatever better, but it will slide sideways, and stop the same as 2 wheel drive, so don't think you can go faster than those ahead of you with 2 wheel drive, if roads are bad. Sorry, I know, you know better, but I see more 4 wheel drives in the ditches around here in Canada, than 2 wheel drives, in fact I've seen 2 beside each other in same ditch, as I slowed down for ice patch, and drove past them. Yes I did check to make sure they were o.k. though.

How does 4 wheel drive work?

Hi there , in order for your 4 wheel to work you have to drive a couple feet for everything to lock. If you are already stuck and you put it into 4 wheel, it won't engage. hope this helps you out
