Question about Mercury Marquis
I have a 1985 Mercury Marquis with two fuel pumps one in the tank and the other on the side of the frame. Fuel pump in tank pumps real good the one on the side of the frame will not pump when hooked to the one in the pump. I can take it off the frame and hot wire it and it will pump. put it back on and hot wire it and it will not pump. any help

On your 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis 4.6L SFI , the Fuel Filter is located: Under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, passenger side of fuel tank, mounted on frame in fuel line
it is attached to the frame near the rear passenger side door by a hose clamp, so you need a screwdriver to loosen the clamp, and pliers to remove the lines.
