Re: Truck just died need help!!!
Need to turn the key to the on position, and at the same time listen at the gas tank area for a hum sound for 3 seconds.. if you dont have that noise then you need to replace the fuel pump... in the future always keep your fuel level about 1/4 tank, that is what keeps the pump cooled...

Not sure what you are working on, but it sounds like your coolant temperature sender is bad. When the truck is supposed to come out of phase lock loop it is not and is acting like the choke is on all of the time.
You may have a vacuum leak, which is more apparent when you lean on the brake pedal hard. It won't be easy to find vacuum leak, but a can of WD40 sprayed around suspected areas could find leak when idle changes.
I read this in a blog and it worked for my truck. I cleaned the throttle body and the air filter. It seems to be starving for air when you are just at idle cause it would not die when I was going down the road. Only if I was pulling into park with the rpms really low. Just pull the intake off and clean the throttle body. You will see a bunch of gunk. Clean it until it turns silver again.
