Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
I have a 1996 Ford Taurus and it started making a beeping sound that sounds like a truck backing up.This occurs when I start the car up and then after it stops it doesn't happen again until I have to restart the car but it happens at every start up. It usually goes a series of 4 or 5 times and doesn't sound like a chime but an actual beep. I don't see any warning lights to explain it and I've never heard this before with this car. Can you help me to explain what it would be? Thanks!
Mine beeps like that as well if I don't put my seat belt on. The seat belt light comes on for about a minute then shuts off and a few seconds later it starts beeping without any lights coming on. This may not be what your problem is but I was wondering why mine did the same thing and I figured out if I didn't have my seatbelt on that's when it would beep like that. The seat belt light had already shut off and wasn't blinking or anything so I didn't realize that's what it was right away.
