Fuel pump is bad. they are under extented warranty from ford. take to dealer and "insist" they change it. there is service bulletin on this, but dealers often play "dumb".

Van acts like the fuel filter is plugged, and losses power when going up hills

Do you have a fuel pump? If its bad or weak, you aren't getting enough gas to your engine. Has anyone thought of the filter in your gas tank?

My Mercury Villiger's been over heating, it just started im going to replace the thermostat, but when going up hill the van jerks as if it wants to die down on me. When i say jerks i mean shakes really bad...

The jerking could be the EGR valve--as you have a
high vacuum signal under a load, meaning going up hill
and on the gas

The overheating issue could be effecting the ignition
and again cause misfires going up hill

When ever I have any problems I immediately stop
using the vehicle until ALL Problems are resolved

Remember your not working on a ford if I
recall, it is actually a nissan powertrain

1999 Dodge Ram van 1500 no pick up power

I had a similiar problem on my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Conversion Van. It ended up being a partial collapse of the catalytic converter which didn't allow adequate exhaust. The problem only showed itself because I could not get over 55 mph going up a small hill.

I have a 2005 ford focus. it has been sputtering and actinglike its going to die when im at a complete stop. And it also loses power and starts jerking when im going up hill. its almost like its not...

First, check your emissions warranty on that vehicle. Secondly, although not impossible, on a 4yr old vehicle, that doesn't sound right, unless you've been running improper fuel or additives or something. I've got a 98 & 99, that still are running on original converters? Wouldn't hurt to call Ford owner relations, # in your owners manual. Have you VIN# ready & mileage. Let me know what they say. If you don't get any help from Ford on the issue, check local parts & exhaust places, they usually have a catalytic converter for replacement, at a much cheaper price that will do the job. For example, autozone price for a 2.0L focus, converter says $94.
