The fuel filter is located on the frame rail on the driver's side just in front of the driver's door. unless it is completely clogged this shouldn't cause a no start concern

2006 nissan xterra fuel filter location

Its very easy to change, just make sure you put a drain pain/plastic on the ground before doing so, wear some eye protection in case the filter slips and the gas starts a pouring on your face.

Basically you pull the fuel pumpfuse out of the truck(located in the driver side fuse box inside the truck). Start the truck until it stalls, start it again to make sure it stalls fully so no gas is in the system(less fuel spillage).

The fuel filter is located near the mid/rear section of the passenger side. Its before the rear wheel behind a metal cover plate thats facing towards the front fo the truck. You will see two gas lines one on each side of it running behind the cover plate. Just unscrew the cover plate, loosen the two tubs on both sides of the filter and pull the right side out first from what im told, use a golf tee to plug it up and then work off the other side and do the same thing. Take note of how the filter is set up because u need to put in that same way. Remove the bracket off the old filter and mount it onto the new one. Put it all together, if you have trouble sliding the tubes back onto the filter just use some gas/vasoline(not much) to help lube the tube onto it. Put it together, put the fuse back in, start it up and check for leaks.

Truck starts runs for a few minutes then stalls sometimes starts again sometimes wont start

Can either be fuel filter is dirty or fuel pump is going and there may be a short or burnt wire on the fuel relay. they should all be located in the same area.

Location of fuel filter on 03 sonoma truck

The filter is located by the driver side underneath the truck. Following the fuel line coming out of the fuel tank will also help you to find the filter.

My truck has recently began to start slugish. it was suggested i replace my fuel filter. where is it located

Your fuel filter should be located under your truck along your frame. If you are still unsure you can always get under your truck and follow your fuel line from your gas tank forward. You will have your filter found in no time. I hope this helps you out.

Ai have a 88 chevy s-10 blazer it stall when i drive a block like it starts to cut out does it need a fuel filter, if so is it under the truck or does it need spark plugs only or does air filter only...

I suggest a full tune up.

1. Air filter.
2. Fuel filter, carbureted engine filter is located inside the line fitting where it attaches to the carburetor. Fuel injected engine filter is located in-line under the truck near the tank.
3. Oil and filter.
4. Spark plugs and wires.
5. Distributor cap and rotor if applicable.
6. PCV valve.

FUEL FILTER CHANGE

Hello there, here are a few key notes to assist you:
  • Open the hood for access to the engine compartment. Depressurize the fuel line by pulling the fuel pump relay. The relay is located in the fuse panel under the hood behind the battery.
  • Start the truck and allow it to stall. The fuel system is depressurized. Insert the relay back into the fuse panel.
  • Locate the fuel filter by tracing the fuel lines coming out of the fuel tank. The filter will be located a foot from the tank under the truck on the driver side.
  • Unscrew the inlet and outlet lines by loosening the fuel line with a line wrench. Hold the filter in place by holding the nut on the filter with a second line wrench.
  • Pull the filter out of the mounting bracket by sliding it out and away from the bracket.
  • Slide the new filter into the mounting bracket. Ensure the arrow on the filter is pointing toward the front of the truck, as it designates the direction of fuel flow.
  • Screw the inlet and outlet lines onto the filter by hand. Tighten with a line wrench. Use a second line wrench to hold the filter still while tightening.
  • Start the truck by turning the ignition to the "Start" position. Hold the key in this position for two seconds to allow the fuel pump to push fuel through the lines. Repeat this until the truck starts.
  • Allow the truck to idle while inspecting the filter for any leaks. Inspect around the filter and the fuel lines.
Good luck...

Truck shuts off while driving

Well, if the truck is carburetored, the filter is located in the carb, where the fuel line connects. If its fuel injected, the filter is located under the truck, on the frame rail, between the tank and engine.
