Blower is working on position 4 (max) only

I have 2000 Nissan Quest. Blower is working on position 4 (max) only. When it on position 1,2,3 the blower is not working at all. I checked the set of fuses and they are looking OK. What it could be?

It could be the blower resistor unit,FSU. amazon has them for about 30 bux. This is located under the glove box, passenger side. No need to disassemble the glove box everything is accessible. You will need an 8mm socket to remove the 2 screws to the unit. Once unscrewed pull the cable from it and plug the new one it, pop that ****** back in and if that does not work, it is either the switch or the blower motor. The switch is cheap the blower motor is not cheap or easy to fix.

It is located on the passager side under the glove compartment. You can get to it by removing the blower cover located directly under the glove compartment. After removing the cover, you will find couple of screws securing it to the blowing housing.

My blower only works 1 through 4 and will not work on the highest position number 5

{: ) Check out the J-case fuse (square) labeled BLWR 40amps at the underhood fuseblock. This fuse is the source of power to the blower motor when position 5(max speed) is selected. If this fuse is tested to be okay, you need to access for the blower resistor connectors. Turn ignition on, and set blower to max speed (#5). Probe on the blower resistor terminal (orange wire) and you should get 12volts, also probe the terminal (red wire) which came from the 40amp fuse. 12v should be present on these two terminals at the blower resistor when at max blower speed. Particularly on the orange wire, if you don't get 12volts when at #5 position, it 's probable that the blower speed control switch is faulty. But if you did got 12volts during the procedure, then you should replace the blower motor resistor. Goodluck.

My front blower only works on # 4 ( high ) is it the blower motor or the switch ? also, how do i change it ? thanks

If the blower is coming on when you put it on #4 then it is definitely a switch issue. Try replacing the switch.

1996 nissan quest blower wont work. checked

There might be some heavy resistance with one of the wires leading to it. Have an electrician check it out.

There is Blower Motor Resistor located at the passenger side, right side at the feet. Mounted by 2 screws. You should be able to see electrical connector going to it. Replaces in minutes.

My 2007 Nissan Quest's front heater fan no longer works. I checked the fuses (in the main engine compartment) and they are fine. Where is the fan anyway? Is it located deep under the dash..can a common guy...

2000 or 2007?

It might be just the blower resister located on the heater box. 2 screws and about 4 wires, easy change.
Here's the blower in the heater box:

HVAC Blower functions only at highest (4) switch setting

if the blower works on high then its not a fuse it could be the switch or the resistor that cuts back power for the lower settings

Ac controls quit working blower fan is running on high all thetime. compressor is not working.

fan elays are under hood in black box by battery. 3 of them. 2 for high speed, 1 for low speed. Default is high speed when there is a probem.

Suspect maybe they shorted something out when fixing dent. Did they do any welding on the van? Connecting the cables to the body can sometimes send voltage where it's not wanted.
