Car has ruff idel and when you open hood you can smell gas. When i ruff it up its not a smooth rev. Seems like there is something in the the exhaust. Then if you drive it has loss of power. Can anyone help thanks
I had this same problem and it was my fuel regulator and my mass airflow sensor

I have this same problem and another Chevy owner helped me by taking out the sensors on the throtle body and cleaning them. These are the sensors that control the fuel/air mixture. After this, the car ran alot smoother and smelled less like gas. Since is not running perfectly I figured I need to replace the sensors or maybe the cable (which are in pretty bad shape). When I do that I'll update this post.

Sounds like a blown fuel pressure regulator ,check fuel pressure its probaly pretty low 30# car will run but not very well.also turn key on engine off visually look for leaks.
