The door inside panel is screwed on in 3 or 4 places. look on the underside of the panel for a screw or two, and look for a screw cover underneath where the inner door handle is. pop the window switch assembly out of the door gently and unplug the wiring harness from it. it is possible to repair the window winder assembly inside the door, but its too hard a process for me to explain. if u can get the door panel off, but cant figgure out how to repair the winder assembly, then buy a new window winder assembly for around $120, to replace and not repair is the standard practice anyway, cause the winders are a pain to repair, and the repair is usually only temporary, they are technically non repairable, the repair is more like a mcguyver move.

1988 town car rear windows go down wont go up

Seems like you need window motors. When you flip the switch to roll them down, the window basically "falls" down slowly, but when rolling them back up, the motors aren't strong enough anymore to slide the heavy window back into place. Unfortunately that is usually the only solution when it comes to power windows. Your switch could be bad, but if you tried all switches in the car it is definitely your motors.

I cant seem to get my window to roll down, the motor is working perfectly but the window just dont want to roll down? what should i do?

sounds like the either the spline on the motor has worn or the window track has detached from the window. Remove the interior door panel just enough to see inside the door & try rolling it down you should be able to see what the motor is doing from there should be an easy fix. If its a worn spline you may have to replace the motor

Rear Window Malfunction on my 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco I have a rear window problem on my 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco. I rolled my rear window up last night with the rear key switch. Today it will not roll...

The dash switch can affect the operation of the rear key switch. 1st thing to do is replace the dash switch and that will prob fix it all.

I heard a pop when rolling my power window up. And now it wont roll up at all.

sounds like an electrical short in your door panel. open your door. take your door panel off and look for any crossed wires that may have caused your window motor to short out. you will need a new power window motor if this happened. good luck

The rear window on my 1988 bronco won't roll up.

no way to do that, but u can disconnect the power wiondow regulator and block it up, but if u take it apart to do that u might as well fix the problem that is keeping it from rolling up.

Driver window will roll down but the passenger and rear wont

The first thing that I would do is check for electricty at the motors them sel and work your way back.If there is elec. at the window motor it's self susspect a motor problem.Remove the motor to see if it spins (but it dosen't me its good it could be week)next check for binding in the window mecanism.
