2004 chevy cav just had cracked radiator replaced with new one.. now small leak in front and tail pipe dripping water.

No, you should not worry. Tail pipe dripping isn't related to your radiator. It's common especially if your vehicle sits alot.

Small oil leak. You need to find the source of it. Use some good engine degreaser and clean it up. You should then be able to find where it's coming from as you fire it up and check around. I understand sometimes that's hard because things are packed in. How fast are you losing oil? Check the level on your dipstick.

Smoke from a side pipe

Leaking exhaust pipes and deflated radiator can be the result of this. Better start with the radiator first and check if its deflated. Also make sure the pipes are tightly mounted and double check any leak.

Why is your transmission fluid dripping from my Cadillac converter

Hi there.
Well its a hard one as it could be the hose from the radiator to gearbox leaking cause either cracked or loose connection either on radiator OR on pipe 1/2 way down above the converter
Start engine, run till you see a drip, stop engine check bottom of radiator connection pipe for leak if none check pipe down towards gearbox to find a crack.

Refill antifreeze/coolant

dont whatever you do try to remove the small red drain plug as it will either brake which means a new radiator or will start leaking take off the lower radiator pipe it will be kept on with a what us brits call a jubalie clip the fluid will drain from that when its empty just put pipe back on and refill radiator when the radiator is full start the car and the level will go down keep filling untill it reaches the max level on the over flow bottle or if it hasent got one till it reaches the top of the filler if there is to much in when the water expands it will go down the over fill pipe hope this helps cheers ivan

Thermostat gasket blown

Is it all one piece, the outlet pipe and the t-stat housing? The gasket goes on the bottom of the housing where it mates to the engine. If the coolant is leaking from the bottom of the housing, that would require a new gasket. If coolant is leaking where the radiator hose connects to the pipe, have you tried tightening the hose clamp?
If the outlet pipe and housing are separate, there may be an O-ring seal between them. You may want to pull off the radiator hose and check if the pipe is so badly corroded and rusted that it cannot seal anymore, or may have a hole in it, especially if it is thin metal.

Losing water.is there a water drain pipe that comes from the heating system

If you are not seeing a coolant leak on the ground, and you are adding coolant every week, chances are the engine is burning it out the tailpipe. That would be from a leaking head gasket or other internal problem with the engine.

How to replace the water pump on 1993 oldsmoblie achieva.

2.4 enigine is the harder of the 3 enignes. it will need a timing chain to be removed and a coolant tube in the back of the engine to be removed. this job on the book calls for almost 7 hours.

if its 3.3 or 3100 its alot easier.

3100 is just 4 10mm pulley bolts and 5 or 6 small 8mm water pump bolts.

3.3 is alittle more work, but same concept as 3100 engine. more owkr only cause its in a tighter area.

good luck,
michael
