I have a 94 rrc lwb 4.0 i put a new tranny in it and got it all back together and i started it . Now my issue is it starts but does not wanna stay running or idle it sounds like a miss but its will start just fine ive done nothing to the engine it ran just fine the yoke broke on the transfercse and blew a hole into the side of my tranny thats why i put a new one but it ran just fine . Ok another thing it brought up 2 codes the first code was 02 and the second was 03 wut do they mean anyone can you help me . The rover will like i said start but it runs as if its being choked out or misfiring it starts then emediatly dies can you guys plz help me out its my only car thankx

tranny, that is right all A/T have a PRNDL switch that does fail
and all do and all , fails kill the KEY line to the starter,.
causing, step 1 to fail not cranking
Transmission might be fried. One suggestion, did you try putting it in 4WD and trying that? I had a Jeep come in, same thing, wont move, ended up being a blown transfer case. Put it in 4 hi or low, and see if it will go into gear and move. Long shot, but worth a try.
When you put the shift module back on the side of tranny did u line it up right if so are you sure you put the tranny together right? When u take off the shift cable it has to be line up right to shift inreverse if u put car in reverse will it start if so you have not lined up right u really meed a chilton book to look at its hard to explain on forum
check for any sensors left disconnected ,if this is a 94 then the chances are the sensor is on the front pulley and it hasnt been re-connected ,also it may have a cam sensor .get the person who changed the pump back to put it right why did you let them leave without the car starting
