Question about 1994 Hyundai Excel
Fault seems intermittent, and returned after months of running well. Checked the spark: no spark , all wiring looks OK externally, no loose contacts.
Does your car have an electronic distributor or a contact point system? If it's electronic. proably the igniter inside the distributor is gone. Let us know how you get on. Cheers.

I finally traced my similar problem to a broken wire into the plug going to the crank angle sensor which on this animal is located at the front of the motor on the right hand side when looking at the motor from the front. It is just below the clutch slave cylinder and is held in place by a 10mm headed bolt or phillips head (posi drive) bolt.
Good place to start.
