Very little air when air conditioner is on

I have a 98 chevy 7.4 liter 3500 dually when i use the air conditioner there is not much air coming out of the vents even on high, until you use the recirculate button. Does anyone know if there is a filter somewhere that may be plugged? Thanks

I took mine to the dealer and they found a plastic back hand been sucked up into where the blower pulls air in by the passenger feet.. Good luck. Dealer charged $75.00 to pull it out.

Being that it is a one ton I would expect it to ride rough. It is made for hauling a heavy load. If you want to improve ride quality you will loose hauling capacity unless you spend the money for an air ride suspension system.

Rear brake shoe replacement on a 98 chevy 3500 dually

If you have drums on the rer yes you do have to remove the axle its simple though you unbolt the 6-8 bolts on the end of the axle then it just simply slides out thats it there mite be some resistance but there isnt anything else holding it in. and you dont have to worry about putting it back into the same spot eather just slide it back in and line up the drum.

I have a 1997 chevy 3500 dually it has a454 it run good until u go to give it gas to take off then it cuts out bad it has 13500 on it could it be my egr

no the egr is only used at high speeds and all it does is reciurculate the exaust in to the engine at highway speeds to reduce emmissions. i would check the fuel pressure, the injector pulse, timing, distributor or ignition coil. i have also seen the catalitic conveters clogg and stall or make the engine stumble. Hope that helps some

All air stopped blowing in through the vents.

o air coming from air conditioning vents
  1. Check the air conditioner fuse and replace as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner system discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  3. Air conditioner low pressure switch defective. Replace switch.
  4. Air conditioner fan resistor pack defective. Replace resistor pack.
  5. Loose connection, broken wiring or defective air conditioner relay in air conditioning electrical circuit. Repair wiring or replace relay as necessary.

My truck loses power

In most cases it is the fuel filter. I don't know when it was changed before, but it should be changed at least every 8-10 k miles. Make sure you change the air filter too.
