2002 ford taurus won't start at first crank in the morning

When I start my car in the morning, it crank but would not start. After two or three times it starts. I had a new fuel pump, new fuel pump module, new fuel filter, had the air flow cleaned out, still having the same problem.
Any suggestions.

Thank You

When I turn my key in the ignition, sometimes I don't hear the fuel pump kick in. Once I hear the fuel pump come on I know that it will start. Any other suggestions.

Was not very helpful, however in switching the relays, she works just fine, maybe it was just a bad connection, no one will ever know.

Thank you very much for trying.

Try having your battery tested for CCA (cold cranking amps) If your CCA is 400 or lower you probably need new battery.

If the starter-motor turns the engine over, but it does not start, then get out, remove the gas-cap, and replace the gas-cap, and try again. Works for me! (relieves any vacuum in the gas-tank).

Remove the air filter housing from the throttle body, or if its mult-ported injection, remove the large air duct. Do this the night before. The next day, before cranking and having a spray can of carb. cleaner, spray a couple of shots of carb cleaner either into the large air duct, spray towards the engine, or if its single body injection, spray directly on to the throttle body.

Crank engine immediately, preferrably have some one else sitting in the car to start it after you spray.

If the car even tries to start, replace cold start relay.

Taures 2002 won't start battery and starter checked out good

Not really following your story.
When you say it will not start, the starter would only affect things if the engine will not crank.
If the engine will not crank, you would need to know if the battery is fully charged and if the starter has power and ground.
If the battery is low, something may be draining it overnight. If the battery is charged, the starter should have power.
The neutral safety switch or key switch could be the problem if the small wire on the starter has no power when the key switch is in the start position.

Does it crank? If you shut it off and you restart after a few minutes and it cranks but won't start or starts and runs rough the injectors are leaking and flooding the engine. Need better description

Check the fuel pressure and replace fuel filter if it has been a while(15,000 mi. or more) since last replaced.
Get the codes run if possible. don-ohio

2002 ford taurus won't start - brand new battery and complete tune up still won't start

Sounds like your not getting any fuel..Listen for the fuel pump,by removing gas cap and put your ear up to it..cycle the key without starting it and listen for the pump..sometimes you can beat on the bottom of the tank and it will jarr the pump and it will start running again..Not a fix but a conformation

2003 ford taurus 3.0 Vulcan cranks strong, you can smell the gas but it won't start. I tried replacing the ignition coil with no results.

It is one of two things. Crank shaft sensor, on timing cover, behind crank pulley. Or the camshaft syncronizer, or the camshaft sensor (sits on top of Camshaft syncronizer) Located on drivers side end of engine, in what used to be the home of the old type distributor.

2001 ford taurus with the 3.0 after sitting a few hours when i go to start will crank and crank and crank for what seems like ever, will start easily after that but when i go to start it for the first time...

Its not the oil, increasing temperature will thin out the oil. If it cranks easily but won't start it could be the spark plugs or the spark plug wires. When they heat up, especially if they are old, they won't perform well. Pull off one of the wires and hold it close to the plug, try to crank the engine and look for a spark. If it sparks them try removing a plug and check to see if it looks wet. If its bone dry it might not be getting fuel.

My car won't start, I drove it the day before yesterday and today it wouldn't start. It dosen't make any sound at all. All the lights are coming on but it will not start. It is a 2002 Ford...

need more information, does it crank, and not start? Or no crank? If it cranks and does not start, the first suspect would be a crank sensor, they do that...if it does not crank, the battery has to be charged first to get it to crank-we can go on from there...

2002 Ford Taurus - Intermittent starting. Starts without any problem for days at a time, then won't start for an hour or two or until the morning.

When it wont start one day poor gas or starter fluid into injectors if it starts up it could mean you need to replace fuel injectors.
