1992 volvo 240 radiator fluid on driver's side floor.

Could it be a hose connection or the heater core. I have plenty of heat.

I submitted the question and had it fixed at our local volvo shop (European Auto). It was the heater control valve. Cheap to fix. We love the shop, they are the best.

The only way to find out is to have someone with a pressure tester pressure test the cooling system.

I have a 1992 Chevy caprice how do I flush the radiator

Remove hoses and use garden hose to run water through both tubes then reverse the flow and flush some more. If that won't clear the debris then replacement will be necessary

Car heats up the steam is on the drivers side

Your heater core is probably on the drivers side. It may be leaking or one or both of the hoses connected to it are leaking.. Is there water and or antifreeze leaking on the drivers side floor. The heater core is a small radiator through which air from the blower passes to warm the car when it is cold. they are not too expensive for the part, they can be hard to replace.

It is a hard job.Remove the two side panel on driver side.
Drain any coolant from radiator.
Move brake switch out of the way. Move seat as far back as you can.Remove clips holding hoses to heather core, pull hoses off it,slide them out of the way, pull heater core out.
reverse procedure to install. You may need to replace the 2 clips and 2
o rings seals..I have done it laying on my back on the floor with my head under the dash.

Sticky fluid on passenger floor

That sweet smell is usually, radiator coolant. Most likely you have a leak on the hose or the heater core is damaged and leaking.

I have a 2005 grand prix and my floor on the passenger side is soak with water or coolent. Is my heater core bad or can I just blow it out with a air compressor?

most of the time when you have a blown heater core they are incased and there radiator fluid wont access the car if it dose then you can by pass the heater core by attaching a piece of hose between the two hoses that go the fire wall and just drive with no heat dose not damage the vehicle and will not harm anything you just might get cold if you in cold temps other then that you should be fine. now you said its on the driver floor if you smelt it it could just be water but if it smells like radiator fluid them it could have leaked under your whole dash and onto the driver flool i would be carefull and play it on the safe side and find someone to take a look at it

929 Mazda (1992) No Heat But A/C Works I have a 929 Mazda 1992 year. Does not blow any heat. I noted that the 30 amp fusible link for the heater was busted. Replaced it but still no heat. A busted fuse...

First check your fluid in your radiator if its low your heater will not work. Check all your heater hoses and make sure they are not kinked.
Your heater core may be plugged That will stop the heat flowing as well. If it's the heater core it will have to come out and replaced most likely. Not sure if there is a heater valve on that car.

Replace Heater Core for Volvo S70 (1999)

It is your heater core. I fixed mine for $144. Ordered the new part on Ebay and followed these instructions It was very simple, I'm a middle age grandmother! The hardest part was cleaning up all the antifreeze. You will need a shopvac, a small one is $20 at WalMart.

Blowing Cold Air

Sounds like a heater core. Check the passenger side floor board. Sometimes when these go out there will be some water on the passenger side floor. Hope this helps some.
