Got a problem with a misfire on 4 put all new plugs & a new oil changed engine light blinking in and our car running rough when I stopped car smelled burning and smoke near back tires

I really couldn't tell you without checking it out. But I would check the coil pack or dist.Cap or ignition control module and change the sparkplug wires.

It's probably the Sparkplug wires or one of the coils, depending what your car has.

My 92 ford ranger sometimes acts like its not running on all four cylinders what could be the problem for this? I replaced plugs and wire and put two new ignition control modules in and didnt do a thi

sounds like the pick-up coil in the distributor. when pick-up coil goes bad they sometimes have intermittent electrical contact, therefore causing veh to run rough at times, and fine at some. it will eventually go out totally.

I suggest to get the codes checked so you're not chasing a moving target. You'll need to look online - check out the Ranger/Explorer forums - or get the Factory Service Manual (FSM) to get the technical info you're requesting.
