Question about 2004 Infiniti FX35

2004 infiniti fx35 won't start

Hi. My car has 90,000 miles on it. I started the car this morning and drove it to a near by gas station. I turned it off while pumping gas. When I went to restart it, it wouldn't start. I tried jumping it but that didn't help. The headlights and interior lights come on. The car tries to turn over, but just doesn't do it. I had a half a tank a gas in it when this first started and its been cold where I live. i did wait a while until it warmed up outside to see if that would even help, but nothing.I had it towed to a garage. The basic mechanics looked at, but said it didn't look like the alternator or battery. However, the guy who runs the shop said he didn't have his diagnotic guys in until Mon so he wanted to wait until Mon to let me know for sure what was going on.

SOURCE: fuse for the cigarette lighter in Infinity FX35

is the only thing not working the cigarette lighter? the fuse that operates it is usually the accessories fuse, it normally operates the interior light as well, which fuse box have you checked, there is most likely one under the bonnet & there also may be one under the dash as well, it might well be that the cigarette lighter element is the problem, try another lighter....hope this helps....cheers

Bubbling of dashboard on 2004 Infiniti FX35

2004 Infiniti FX35 dash board may be mfg issue for Infiniti and you may look to them to solve the problem. I had the problem and they covered the dash part at 100%. I had to pay labor. Wound up at about $200. I had 84,000 miles on the car and outside warranty by over 15 months. Tells me they recognize an issue and will stand behind it. Be pleasant at dealer but insist they request support.
