Blower motor relay switch. Should be under the dash, behind the glove box (I am guessing, but this seems to be the place for many GM sedans). Ask the parts store...

199 oldsmobile alero temp light stays on

Well the light staying on could be a short in the wiring or a failed temp switch. And that could affect the radiator fan but I doubt it.
Have you checked the water pump and thermostat ? Is coolant flowing in the system ?

I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero GL Sedan that is overheating. Where is the problem?

check coolant level, make sure car have half antifreeze and half water,if coolant level okay, car overheating when starting up driving is faulty thermostat and radiator cap.if car over heat while sitting in long line of traffic.your coolant temperature sensor could be faulty, or coolant fan fuse blowed or relay failed.hot wire cooling fan if it works, problem is the wiring or pcm, if every thing working okay.check engine oil if look like milk shake or you have a lot white heavy smoke coming out the exhaust, you have a blowed head gasket.

Have 99 alero heating up seems to be blowing all the cooling out the overfol on the surge tank can anyone help me

You may have a thermostat that is stuck closed. I would also check the radiator cap. Worse thing would be a blown head gasket.

Hi there you could try flushing the system, it sounds like your Heater Matrix ( heater core ) this could be blocked with limescale/antifreeze deposits etcor just broken.

hope this helps , please rate :)

Car was overheating now the temp gage does not move off C

Try flushuing the system and replacing the thermostat first, then if the problem persists have a shop do a test for a leaky head gasket, but do the easy cheap stuff 1st, only makes sense to me, how about you?
