I have a 1991 f250 pickup and the headlights dont work. I changed the bulbs and look for a blown fuse. Is there a fuse for the headlights ?

My headlights have quit working on my 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup. I replaced the headlight switch but they still don't work. The parking lights come on but not the headlights

Try checking both a; your fuses, and b; check your bulbs. You should have two fuse boxes, one under hood and one in or under the dash. Check those for bad, blown or weak fuses. And check your headlights bulbs for them being good and their connection. If this doesn't fix your problem, you may check out your highbeam switch.

dont replace the bulbs ...check the fuses first...each circuit has its own independent fuse...one for low beam one for high beam and a separate low voltage one for running lights...you may have 1 bad bulb at very worst that could have blown the fuse...why spend extra money on 2

Running lights on 1991 acura integra dont work

Did you change your dimmer switch? When my rear lights and dash lights stopped working the fuse was blown, but the transistor inside the dimmer switch (just left of your steering wheel) was blown also. (had my dad check it with the multimeter). You'll need a narrow flat head screw driver to pry it out, start at the bottom, that's where the metal clip that holds it in is. Cost me $5 at the junk yard. Hope this solves your problem, annoying isn't it to not be able to drive at night.

Low beam headlights do not work, but high beam headlights do

Clyde,

I've been troubleshooting this same problem on a different vehicle this week, and I can give you the steps I'd take.

1. If both sides went out at the same time, the problem is *NOT* likely to be the bulbs.

2. Check the fuses to see if both low beam lights are on the same fuse. Many cars have one fuse for low beam and another for high beam, so both lights out at the same time typically means fuse blown.

3. If the headlights are OK and the fuses are OK, then the problem is *LIKELY* the headlight switch. In my case, AutoZone has one and it can be installed easily; but in your case, that may not be as simple.

Please post your findings or comments.
