Check your transmission ground, im not quite sure where it is located on your car but it will be coming off of the transmission somewhere. if you have a bad ground it can cause the problem you are having.

It may be that the switch is going bad. There is a switch that when you put it in reverse that it tells the computer and the computer turn the backup lights on. If the switch is going bad then that could be your problem.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hyundai atoz charged battery put in car turned key andits like machine gun whats wrong

make sure battery terminals are tight. If tight, suspect failed solenoid. For additional troubleshooting, please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5821173-doesnt_car_start_gasoline_engines and let me know if you have questions.

2007 hyundai atoz is cutting out after changing gears.

With the white smoke in the morning but not later after you drive a bit sounds like the valves aren't operating properly. The cutting could be related to the valve issue.
