Sounds like the window lock-out switch on the main switch is on.

Only drivers window works but slowly the other three dont but one will go down ok but wont go back up why

If you can hear the motor turning on the window, then your window motor is fine. In all likelihood, your main window switch (driver's door) is bad and requires replacement. I would also check each individual window to make certain they open and close with each window's switch.

Another potential problem could be the window hardware that moves your window up and down. The only way to determine if there are problems with the hardware is to remove the door panel.

Windows saab 900

there should be a switch right on the master window switch that may be "on" to prevent anyone but the driver to operate windows. is this car a convertable? is the switch between the seats in center console? do you have an owners manual? it may have it in there. i will try to find more info. for you if there is no "lock out".
